So while most WEDYHTDers know this, I'm leaving New York in a little under two months. So this morning I was brain-storming on things I wanted to do/make sure I did again before leaving. The things should be quintessentially New York. But I could only come up with five.
They are:
Go to Whitney Biennial
See Munch Exhibit at MoMA
Go to Bohemian Beer Garden
Go to Bulgarian Disco
Eat Grimaldi's
Any help/anybody want to come?

I don't even live in NYC but I've seen the Munch exhibit. It was pretty terrific.
I am told you must stand outside the cage at west 4th street and watch a basketball game. Go to corner of 179th/Broadway to the Chimi Spot and eat a chimichanga. Go to the Cloisters. See the slavery exhibit at whatever museum that is downtown.
Maybe, MAYBE--sneak onto the roof of our apartment???
a. Go bowling at Bowlmore!
b. see something at the knitting factory.
c. eat a slice of salad pizza (the best is at Sals in Mammaroneck, if you feel like spending some quality time on MTA)
have you never seen those b-ball games erica? that is where i learned all the skillz i'll ever need in this life.
anyway. i never actually walked around on staten island. i've regretted it ever since i saw "how to lose a guy in ten days."
Allow me to revise your list.
1)Swim in the east river
2)Eat bags of pirate's booty
3)Drink gallons of pap's blue ribbon
Surely the lakes, cheese and beer in madison will be a marked improvement.
Newly added: Dine at the new Dallas BBQ Times Square. Obvi.
